Princess P56 ~ Over $350K Recently Spent
The Princess P56 is a stunning example of British yacht craftsmanship that combines sleek design, exceptional performance, and luxurious comfort. Designed for both entertaining and extended cruising, the P56 is perfect for those who want to enjoy life on the water in style and absolute comfort. Every detail, from the flybridge to the cabins, has been carefully designed and crafted to provide a premium on-water experience.
Resonance is an outstanding example of the Princess P56, and with significant recent upgrades, she presents in well-above-average condition for her age.
Spacious Flybridge and Cockpit
The P56’s flybridge is an entertainer’s dream, offering panoramic views, abundant seating, a wet bar area, and a day bed for relaxing with family and friends. A standout feature is the dual access with stairs leading down into the saloon, and a ladder aft that takes leads you directly into the cockpit.
The cockpit is equally inviting, with a versatile layout ideal for alfresco dining or simply soaking in the sun. The current owner has recently added a hydraulic swim platform with a cradle for the tender. This is a significant upgrade that makes stowing, launching and retrieving the tender a breeze. This addition has considerably extended the useable space for entertaining, relaxing and swimming. The cockpit space flows seamlessly into the interior, creating a feeling of openness and connectivity throughout the yacht.
Luxurious Interior
Inside, the Princess P56 exudes elegance and comfort. High-quality finishes, custom upholstery, and modern design create an inviting atmosphere in the main saloon. The fully equipped galley is perfect for preparing meals while underway, and the dining area provides a comfortable space to enjoy them. Below deck, the cabins are spacious and thoughtfully designed, offering restful retreats with ample storage and en-suite facilities.
Performance and Handling
Powered by twin 660HP Caterpillar engines, Resonance is capable of an impressive top speed of 30 knots, with a comfortable cruising speed of 20–25 knots. With only just over 850 hours on each engine, she presents exceptionally well mechanically. Both main engines have recently undergone a comprehensive service including the heat exchangers and genset. The wiring harnesses were also replaced on both engines.
The P56 delivers smooth, confident, and highly responsive handling underway. Her deep-V hull design slices cleanly through chop and swell, providing a stable and reassuring ride in the often-demanding conditions off the WA coast. A recent voyage to the Abrolhos Islands further demonstrated her offshore capability, performance, and comfort at sea—handling the journey with ease and proving herself a true blue-water performer.
Ideal for Cruising and Entertaining
The Princess P56 is as practical as she is stylish. Perfect for family outings, weekend escapes, or longer adventures, she offers versatility without compromising luxury. Entertain on the flybridge, enjoy intimate meals in the saloon, or relax in one of the beautifully appointed cabins—this yacht truly caters to every aspect of a premium yachting lifestyle.
$350,000 Spent on upgrades over the past couple of years
The owner has recently invested over $350k on Resonance and when you walk through the boat it is not hard to see where the money went. The saloon has had a modern make-over with all new upholstery, new head linings, floors and carpets. New U Line icemaker and bar fridge.
The electronics have been updated. There are three new Garmin touch screen Multifunction displays, Garmin autopilot controller and displays.
A new Vetus stern thruster was installed, considerably improving the manoeuvrability and ease of handling in close quarters.
The engine, house bank and genset batteries are all new, as is the battery charger and inverter.
The new Stella FH 4000 hydraulic swim platform with underwater lights and wired remote control, cost close to $150k alone.
The sound and audio systems were upgraded with a Samsung 32″ LCD TV and Blue Ray DVD, rear deck camera, handheld Icom VHF, a 4G mobile phone booster and Fusion RA770 stereo and Foxtel hardware.
The aft crew quarters were converted into a storeroom and a new washing machine and dryer have been plumbed in.
All the clears and canopies, Sunbrella Fabric cushions and covers are less than three years old.
Resonance represents excellent value for money especially when you take into account the significant recent upgrades.
